Our Choice – Here & Eternity
Just some early morning thoughts from me to you…
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”
John 3: 16-17 (ESV)“In My Father’s house are many rooms; if that were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again and will take you to Myself, so that where I am, there you also will be.”
John 14: 2-3 (NASB)“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.’
He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!…Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.’”
Revelation 21: 3-5, 7 (NIV)
Those passages lay out the promise and path to eternal life with our Heavenly Father.
The Apostle John wrote the Gospel of John, and after being banished by the Roman Emperor to the island of Patmos for his Christian faith, wrote the book of Revelation.
Both inspired by God—full of the promise, showing the way, and embracing the hope of glory with Christ for today and eternity.
The promise and the way— “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3: 16
The place— “In My Father’s house are many rooms…because I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again and will take you to Myself, so that where I am, there you also will be.” John 14: 2-3
Our glory forever with Christ— “I am making everything new!…Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.” Revelation 21: 7
And in the time we have left in our lives here, we have a choice.
Accept Christ as Savior and Lord, and walk the rest of our time here empowered, and purposefully with the Lord.
And also be assured after this life, of living forever with Him in eternity.
Remembering our future is not dependent upon the world situation, no matter how sad it seems at times, but is dependent upon what Christ did on the cross 2,000 years ago.
A future dependent upon acceptance, of Him, or not, today—the Son, of the God of all creation.
The One who the Reverend Billy Graham served and looked to always, and was referring to when he shared—
“Some day you will read or hear that Billy Graham is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it. I shall be more alive than I am now. I will just have changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God.”
And the moment the Apostle John writes about in Revelation 22: 3-5, and David Phelps sings about in the song “No More Night” as he shares—
“No more night, no more pain, no more tears, never crying again.
And praises to the great ‘I Am’ we will live in the Light of the risen Lamb.
See all around, now the nations bow down to sing,
The only sound is the praises to Christ, our King.
Slowly the names from the book are read,
I know the King, so there’s no need, no need to dread…”
The way is clear. The pathway to eternal life with Christ. No more night, no more pain, no more tears, never crying again.
The choice is ours. In the time left here.
In His Name–Scott
Be blessed, reminded, and encouraged as you listen to David Phelps sing “No More Night.”

God – Still in the Miracle Business
I wonder how many of us find our todays similar to our yesterdays.
Yet the God who watches over us, helps us, strengthens, and protects us creates us with incredible eternal potential…
Always faithful. Always able. Always God.
I suspect we all have been there at times in our lives.
Where you couldn’t see past what seemed like the end.
Where doubt overwhelmed you, and no light of hope was anywhere to be found. Where fear followed you with every step and thought, in every moment of your day.
Never Enough Without You
The Greatest Showman.
A movie with a lingering positive impact on our walk here, in this our temporary home, while perhaps unwittingly pointing us toward all the glorious potential of our eternal walk with the Lord.
Especially within the classic song “Never Enough”…
