Just some early morning thoughts from me to you…

“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
Deuteronomy 31:8 (ESV)

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified nor dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 (NASB)

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
Psalm 23:1 (NKJV)

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10 (NLT)

“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.  When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.  When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.”
Isaiah 43: 2 (NLT)

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, ‘God with us.’”
Matthew 1: 23 (KJV)

“…And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:20b (NIV)

What are you facing and trying to walk through right now in your life?

Is anybody walking with you?

If yes, that is good.

If not, I wonder how you would say that feels.

Actually, I know how it feels, and I suspect that most of us know what it is like to walk through some tough, lonely moments in life at times, to look around and see no one there walking with us.

And worse—we get the sense, often wrongly, that no one cares enough to walk with us.

Alone.  It is a tough place to be.  Even tougher if you feel it is because no one cares.

I have been there, and I may feel that way again sometime.

You may have been there too. Feeling alone, even with family, supposed friends, and others you thought you could depend upon.

Even wondering sometimes what is the point in going on at all.

But let’s take a look again at the scriptures above, representative of many other statements from God in His Word, making it very clear that He is always with us—

“It is the Lord who goes before you.  He will be with you…” Deuteronomy 31:8

“…the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

“The Lord is my shepherd…” Psalm 23:1

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.” Isaiah 41:10

“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.” Isaiah 43:2

“Immanuel, which is translated, ‘God with us.’” Matthew 1:23

“And surely I am with you always, to the very end….” Matthew 28:20b

Feel alone at times. You are not. I am not. We are not.

God is always there with you.

It does not get any better than that.

Sometimes it helps to have a physical touch, a person, and an audible word of encouragement.  From past experiences, we know God will often send someone to us.

Or He will send you or me to someone who is feeling like they are facing life all alone.

But always, at all times, in all we face and go through, my friends, we can draw nearer to the God—Who is always with us.

Three things to remember whenever we go through what we go through—

  • God is always there. We are never alone.
  • God will often send someone to us. Be aware.
  • God may send you to someone. Be ready.

And in the meantime—draw nearer to the God Who is always there.

In His Name—Scott
