Just some early morning thoughts from me to you…

“Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.”
Ephesians 3: 20 (TLB)

“God is our refuge and strength, a tested help in times of trouble.  And so we need not fear even if the world blows up and the mountains crumble into the sea.”
Psalm 46: 1-2 (TLB)

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
Romans 8: 28 (NLT)

Great day of blessings yesterday.

Up early to share by text message a worship song of encouragement with friends around the country.

Then time with my bride, Lynda, of 55+ years—attending church worship service. Phone call from our elder Granddaughter who is in school out-of-state.

Lunch with Lynda at home; then helped her in the kitchen fixing the evening dinner for our family who are in town.

Great day of blessings yesterday.

A lot of our days are like that. But not all.

I wish they were for you and for me, but not all the days of our lives are that way, like my day-full of blessings yesterday.

In the midst of the ups and the blessings in many of our days, there are some days with downs and disappointments. Sometimes, with some way downs.

Things we don’t expect hit us full in the face. Things we don’t understand leave us wringing our hands and hearts for an answer.

Standing all alone at times, wondering why.

Forgetting just for a moment, or a day, or more, that God is still there. That God is still at work. And that He is more than enough to get you through.

That at the end of what seems like a long string of downs, God will always cause whatever it is to work out for our good, as God determines what is good. His promise.

He is more than enough to get us through whatever days of downs we experience. Listen to some of the words of the song “Jesus Is” which I shared yesterday morning—

“My strength whenever I am weak,
My hope, everything I need, He’s more than life to me.
Jesus is!
My peace, shelter from the storm
He’s all my heart is longing for, the one that I adore.
Jesus is!
My God, He hears my every prayer
He said my burdens He would bear, I know He’s always there.
Jesus is!
Through Him I’m walking in the light
His love will always be my guide, He’s always by my side.
Jesus is!
Prince of Peace, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Everything,
Mighty God, Son of Man, Holy One, The Great I Am.
He is—the Truth, the Life, the Way.
Jesus is!”

A day of ups or a day of downs. We’ve had them both and more than likely will have them both again sometime to come.

Jesus is there. And He is more than enough to handle whatever, with and for you.

Just remember this—Jesus Is!

In His Name–Scott

PS. Be blessed and listen to the song “Jesus Is,’ sung by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, I sent yesterday.
