Just some early morning thoughts from me to you…

“The very best fabric representing one’s life at the end of the day is woven of threads from the deepest daily experiences of the heart…all of them.”
Anonymous

“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”
Joshua 1: 8 (NIV)

They seem to come in waves.

Especially today in the midst of the confusion and uncertainty all around.

They come crashing into our feelings with tides of emotions.

They come in a mixture of tears mingled with smiles—memories of heartaches mixed with joys.

The threads of our lives—created and woven together with all the experiences in our journey through life, always clarifying over time, the values we should hold dear.

The recollections of life’s littlest, yet often greatest moments, hits us when we least expect it to happen.

Threads woven into the tapestry of our lives, lived out in the twists and turns of the winding roads from our beginnings, through our yesterdays, todays and eventually to somewhere in our tomorrows.

Threads…

And at times the remembrance of them seems to come in waves.

The threads of our lives are what ground us when times become uncertain and anxious and cloudy.

The memory of the most important times with family. Times with precious pets through the years always bravely making us feel important, even when they’re struggling.

Threads…

The memories of trips and time spent with family and precious granddaughters.

Of memorable trips and time spent with dear friends—experiencing for the first time places and things together.

Threads…

They come in waves—those recollections from the deepest of each day’s meaningful and God-given experiences. The remembrances of time with family and friends—those still here and those gone too soon—all part of the fabric of each thread making up the deepest daily experiences of our lives.

Threads…

Times with the important people in our lives. Realizing as we open the page of each new day, that we are not promised tomorrow. So what do we need to do today?

I wonder what our lives would look like, if we lived them from the end, first. After we have learned what is truly important in life.

Those lessons really should be learned when we are younger. Maybe to assure that we not miss the important, and then weave the most beautiful of tapestries, made of the very best and deepest experiences of our hearts, from the very beginning of the moments of our lives that truly matter.

Threads…

Consider for a moment that when you look back from the end of your life, what you will have left behind you on your path.

And then consider for today and all the days remaining, what threads of the most important of life’s moments you are now weaving, and should be weaving in the time you have left.

In the time we have left, let’s consider the threads you and I should weave and leave with the rest of our lives.
