Just some early morning thoughts from me to you…

“Saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”
Revelation 5: 12-13 (ESV)

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
John 3: 16-17 (NKJV)

People know that I am easily touched by special moments.

My granddaughters watching something that has a particularly tender moment, will say “Gran would be crying now if he were here!”

I catch bugs in our home to safely release outside, remove lizards off sticky traps to freedom, and extract moths from sink drains and disposals—to set free.

I am warmed with the privilege to walk alongside others, to care, embrace and help carry the loads they endure.

This past weekend my heart has been warmed thinking of our son traveling to Virginia to be with his elder daughter and her finance, as together they watched his alma mater, Duke, face off against Virginia, in an NCAA Baseball Super Regional in Charlottesville, Virginia.

A worthy memory-making moment forever etched in their lives, and in my heart.

The most extraordinary memory-making moment occurred when the Son-of-God nailed the single most worthy moment into place in history, and for all eternity.

These words from the anthem “Worthy is the Lamb” written by Darlene Zschech, tell the story—

“Thank you for the cross Lord, Thank you for the price You paid.
Bearing all my sin and shame, In love You came and gave amazing grace.
Thank you for this love Lord, Thank you for the nail pierced hands.
Washed me in Your cleansing flow, Now all I know Your forgiveness and embrace.
Worthy is the Lamb, Seated on the throne.
Crown You now with many crowns, You reign victorious.
High and lifted up, Jesus, Son of God,
The Darling of Heaven crucified.
Worthy is the Lamb, Worthy is the Lamb.”

Jesus Christ. The Worthy Lamb hanging on the cross for you and for me.

So that you and I can not only have special moments which matter here; but most importantly to have that one most worthy, special, and eternal moment, when we accept what the Lamb of God did for us on the cross, by asking Christ into our lives.

The moment which will assure us of salvation and a forever place in Heaven, when we finish our temporary stay here on earth.

Worthy moments, here and hereafter. From the Worthy Lamb—the Son of God.

In His Name—Scott
