Just some early morning thoughts from me to you…
“Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.”
James 4:8 (NLT)“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light.”
Matthew 11: 28-30 (NASB)“He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40: 29-31 (NKJV)“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
Romans 8: 28 (NLT)
Come close to God, and God will come close to you. (James 4:8)
Come to Me…and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11: 28)
Wait on the Lord [and He] shall renew their strength. (Isaiah 40: 31)
Promises all from our God contained in His inspired, inerrant, infallible Word.
Promises to claim for you and me to claim for our lives.
Four weeks out from Easter Sunday, celebrating the last moment of Holy Week, and what Christ did to provide a pathway, a promise, for you and me, to be able to claim eternal life with Him after our brief life here on earth is complete.
Yet the struggles of our days distract us at times from Him, as we face seeming insurmountable mountains.
Things which keep us from drawing near to Him, coming closer to Him, waiting on, and standing with Him.
Our Lord Who is always near.
Maybe it’s time for us to draw nearer to Him, my friends.
Start drawing nearer by spending more time with the One who never turns you out, never turns His back or walks away from you, and will never leave you alone.
Stay there, as you realize you are drawing nearer to the One that knows you best, with all your struggles and mistakes, yet loves you most.
Sense His healing touch from all you have been through in your life.
See Him begin to renew your hopes, dreams, and purpose, as you draw closer to the One Who created you in His image (Genesis 1: 26). The God Who knows all the ups and downs, joys and heartbreaks throughout every moment of your life, and will not only work to heal them, and renew all He created you to be, but will use them for your good, the good of others, and all for His glory.
Draw nearer. As He draws nearer.
And together you will have the impact for good He intended for your life, in the world everywhere around you.
Draw nearer.
As God draws nearer.
